SWING VOTE
What a sweet movie. I loved it. The film started out a bit slow, the fact that Kevin Costner's character was a loser was beat to death. But as the story developed, it became more about his daughter (played beautifully by Madeline Carroll) and how she handled their relationship. She found herself confronted with the entire country's obsession due to her secret act of good intention.
The movie's political jabs were at both Democrats and Republicans. It never gave a clear cut message as to which political party should be viewed as a bad guy, but instead, questioned much of our entire political campaign system.
I can't say enough about Madeline Carroll's performance, it was just brilliant. And her character reminded me so much of my niece E, it was spooky.
I found the film fun, entertaining and it had a lot of heart.
