Movie Monday

NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN is a difficult movie for me to review. On a whole, I liked it. But the ending and unresolved issues it left, was very disappointing.

The movie is about a drug deal gone wrong, and those people who are chasing a case of money found by an previously uninvolved passerby. This character becomes immersed in a cat and mouse chase with a vicious, creepy psychopath. If you enjoy watching a "good" bad guy, this ones for you. There is plenty of suspense, but I like closure in movies, and this did not have it at all. I was lead to follow and become concerned with how certain characters would end up, and left without the explanation that should have been.

Directed by the Coen brothers (famous for Fargo)it was certainly well done and kept my attention. Brutal violence and snappy dialog. But that ending...very frustrating.
